A: If your plans change, your lift ticket is refundable (terms apply). Any unused days on your lift ticket are fully refundable until 5 PM MT on the last day of your ticket. For example, if you buy a ticket dated February 1st-5th, you have until 5pm MT on February 5th to request a refund for any unused days on your ticket.
Refund requests received after 5 PM MT on the last day of your ticket will not be honored, except in certain circumstances (See terms for full details)

A: To request a refund, you need to do one of the following:
- Visit the resort ticket window no later than the last day of your ticket

Q: What if Vail Resorts closes a resort or cancels my ticket due to Covid-19 - how will refunds be handled for Buddy or Ski With A Friend Tickets?
A: Your safety is our priority, and it is possible that we will have to cancel your ticket due to Covid-19. In the event that we make the difficult decision to close a resort or cancel your ticket, we will strive to do so in advance of your visit, and we will issue you a full or partial refund depending on the number of lift ticket days affected. In the event of a resort closure or ticket cancellation, we will make an effort to notify you directly by email. We encourage you to also check the relevant resort website, Facebook page, or Instagram account for notifications. While we will do our best to issue your refund promptly, we cannot guarantee that your refund will be processed within a specified period of time (See terms for full details)
Q: What if I am injured or fall sick – can I request a refund for a Buddy or Ski With A Friend Ticket?
A: Unused lift tickets are fully refundable until 5 PM MT on the last day of your ticket.
To request a refund for an un-used or partially used ticket due to injury or illness, you need to do one of the following:
- Visit the resort ticket window no later than the last day of your ticket by 5 PM MT
- Contact Guest Services at (970)-754-0005 by no later than 5 PM MT on the last day of your ticket 5 PM MT
Reminder: You should not come to the resort if you: (i) are experiencing signs and symptoms of COVID-19 not due to a known health condition, (ii) tested positive or were diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 10 days, (iii) have been directed by public health or a medical provider to quarantine or isolate, or (iv) have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19 (see CDC guidelines)
